> Poison ivy in the time of global warming
New research from Duke University shows that poison ivy is getting worse as global warming gets worse. The carbon dioxide 'greenhouse effect' is making the vine produce more urushiol than ever and this makes poison ivy more potent. In my practice, we are seeing more poison ivy cases and a more severe variety of them as well. There are over 350,000 cases of poison ivy a year and this seems to be increasing.
